Suggestions:

Apple Walnut Beer Bread: Mix beer bread according to directions. Add 1 cup of diced fresh apple, 1/2 cup shopped walnuts. Bake. Drizzle when still warm with a glaze made of 1 cup of brown sugar mixed with 2 T. of milk.
